Canada releases 2nd edition of National Standard for Digital Governance

The new edition of the Standard provides updated guidance for the country’s design, creation, operation, maintenance, and testing of digital systems.

Canada announced the publication of the second edition of the National Standard for Digital Governance. The first edition has been revised to reflect current industry practice. The document was published by The Digital Governance Standards Institute,  in charge of developing digital technology governance standards fit for global use. 

The new edition of the Standard provides updated guidance for the country’s design, creation, operation, maintenance, and testing of digital systems. The document describes the minimum requirements and sets the controls that may be applied to digital systems and services in order to guarantee they are safe, secure, reliable, and protected.
