Brazil creates AI innovation network

Brazil has announced the creation of a national innovation network focused on artificial intelligence (AI). The network is launched through a co-operation between the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovations and the Brazilian Industrial Research and Innovation Company. It will benefit from an investment of US$12 million within the next 5 years; US$3.5 million will be dedicated to research and innovation into AI for the automotive and agribusiness sectors. The network is intended to foster the use of AI and related advanced digital technologies across various sectors, and strengthen national research, development, and innovation capabilities in these fields.
