Black & Vetach water report explores the use of data in the US water industry

Black & Veatch company issues the 2020 Strategic Directions: Water Report. The report, which is based on a survey of roughly 300 stakeholders, explores the North American sphere of water and wastewater. According to the survey, 15% of respondents report having a robust, fully integrated approach to data, 56% say their data-management efforts are strengthening but not fully integrated, and 29% say their data remains largely unintegrated in silos. When asked about their data’s meaningfulness, 57% of respondents answered that while they were collecting a lot of data, they do not transform it into actionable information. 21% of respondents said they were making the most of their data, with only 15% admitting they were using their data effectively.
