.au domain names affected by DNSSEC error

Domain names under .au – the country code top-level domain of Australia – were affected by a domain name system (DNS) error on 22 March. Reports indicate that some 15,00 domain names were unavailable for approximately one hour. auDA – the entity managing .au – later explained that the incident was caused by a bug in the process that generates the DNSSEC (DNS security extensions) digital signing records, and that end users using one public DNS resolver were impacted.
