Artificial intelligence used in an app to estimate damages in case of car accidents

Tech incubator Solaris Lab has been working on artificial-intelligence-based application designed to help users find potentially safer road routes and assess damage in case of accidents. The application relies on aggregated public data (on issues such as auto theft, parking citations, crashes, etc) and proprietary insurance information. If an accident happens, the user could upload a photo of the crash, and the AI technology would be able to compare it with other thousands of photos to identify similarities and determine the likely costs of the repair.
