Artificial Intelligence Lab for Biosciences announced in Netherlands

In the Netherlands, the Delft University of Technology and Royal DSM – a nutrition, health, and sustainable living company – have announced the establishment of an Artificial Intelligence Lab for Biosciences (the Lab). The lab will be part of the Dutch National Innovation Centre for Artificial Intelligence and will benefit from a 2.5 million euro investment over the first five years from DSM. Presented as the first of its kind in Europe, the Lab will apply artificial intelligence to full-scale biomanufacturing, from microbial strain development to process optimization and scheduling.
