Apple releases COVID-19 app

Apple has released a COVID-19 app that is meant to help individuals stay up-to-date on the pandemic and be informed about necessary measures in order to protect their health. The app, together with a website, was created by the White House Coronavirus Task Force and the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. On the app, users will be able to answer a set of questions pertaining to their health and on the basis of which they will receive guidelines and recommendations on how to stay healthy, monitor their symptoms and implement social distancing measures.

Data collection through the application will not be sent to any government organisation.
