Apple confronted with another patent infringement lawsuit for its VoIP app

FaceTime, Apple’s Voice over IP (VoIP) service,  is again subject to a patent infringement lawsuit. A US company, Straight Path Group, accuses Apple of violating five of its patents, all of which have claims dating back to September 1995. According to Digital Trends, the patents describe the connection of two devices with each other on a network that neither device is permanently connected to.
