Amazon hit the trillion-dollar milestone
Amazon’s total market value passed $1 trillion. It is the second American company to achieve this milestone, after Apple passed 1 trillion on 2 August. In addition to the lucrative e-commerce activities, Amazon’s success is also attributed to Amazon Web Services, the company’s cloud business, as well as the advertising it sells across its sites and revenues from Prime membership subscriptions.
