Amazon and Apple fined in Italy for antitrust reseller collusion

The Italian Competition Authority has fined Amazon and Apple EUR200 million in total. Apple and Amazon have put in place a restrictive agreement that did not allow all legitimate resellers of ‘genuine’ Apple and Beats products to operate on the amazon.it marketplace. The decision has also ordered the tech companies to end restrictions on resellers.

Amazon and Apple are also under investigation in Spain and Germany for similar practices restricting competition.
