The Albanese Government of Australia released the first report of the First Nations Digital Inclusion Advisory Group (FNDIAG), aiming to provide First Nations people with access to information and services. The report outlines positive steps, recommendations, and measures towards closing the digital divide for First Nations Australians. In accordance with Target 17 in the National Agreement on Closing the Gap, the paper offers practical ways to foster greater digital inclusion.

The report makes recommendations aimed at expanding access to digital connection and inclusiveness, collecting and analyzing data, and facilitating access to government services. These proposals are the result of consultations with First Nations communities and are consistent with the National Agreement on Closing the Gap and the First Nations Digital Inclusion Plan 2023-2026.
