Airbnb extends refund window due to COVID-19
Airbnb will allow guests to receive full refunds for reservations booked before 31 May 2020. The company will also pay US$250 million to help hosts cover the costs of COVID-19 cancellations. Airbnb has been one of the most impacted sharing economy platforms during the pandemic. Airbnb hosts have experienced mass cancellations because of strict travel restrictions and self-isolation guidelines in most countries around the world.
