AI research network CLAIRE to focus on AI for good

During the opening of its administrative headquarters in The Hague, the Confederation of Laboratories for Artificial Intelligence Research in Europe (CLAIRE) – described as the world’s largest artificial intelligence (AI) research network –  announced a focus on AI for good. Created in 2018 ‘ in response to the pressing need for excellence in AI research and innovation’ in Europe, CLAIRE intends to focus on the use of AI to help reach the sustainable development goals, and on the promotion of AI for all. The Confederation also announced the launch of an Informal Advisory Group Industry, ‘as a step towards creating the CLAIRE industry network’, As well as the composition of its international advisory board. CLAIRE plans to open additional administrative offices in Brussels, Zürich, Cork, and Paris, in addition to existing offices in Prague, Saarbrücken, Rome, Oslo, and The Hague.
