African countries use drones to fight COVID-19

The Rwandan National Police has equipped drones with loudspeakers and pre-recorded messages to raise awareness and provide updates on issues related to the Coronavirus. The drones are also meant to protect the authorities from unnecessary movement and maintain social distancing. Ghana is further using drones to carry Coronavirus test samples from more than 1000 health facilities to laboratories in the cities of Accra and Kumasi. Additionally, Tunisia and South Africa have also been using drones to monitor the movement of people in cities to ensure the lockdown regulations are in place.
