Africa Digital Inclusion Facility to allocate US $ 1.3 million to improve women’s access to digital financial services

The African Development Bank, by means of its Africa Digital Inclusion Facility has decided to allocate US $ 1.3 million in order to improve women’s access to digital financial services, including loans and micro-insurance. The funds will be attributed to two technology companies, namely, Pula Advisors Kenya Ltd., and M-KOPA Kenya Ltd that will conduct research on socio-economic conditions that affect women access to digital financial services and financial literacy programmes. Particular attention will be paid to women in the agricultural industry and their access to micro-insurance in Kenya, Nigeria and Zambia.
