Following Russia’s proposal on the creation of a global cybercrime treaty, the UNGA decided to establish an open-ended committee (also known as the Ad Hoc Committee on Cybercrime) of experts from all regions to develop an international agreement on combating the misuse of information and communication technologies for criminal activities. This work will consider existing international agreements and efforts at national, regional, and global levels, as well as the findings of the Expert Group studying cybercrime.
