The 5th UN GGE held its first meeting

The fifth UN GGE – United Nations Group of Governmental Experts on Developments in the Field of Information and Telecommunications in the Context of International Security – held its first session from 29 August to 2 September. Governmental experts from 25 countries, among which all the permanent member states of the Security Council, Canada, Germany, India, Mexico and others, met in New York to follow up on discussions related to the norms of responsible state behavior in cyberspace. The GGE is expected to meet again in Geneva at the end of 2016.
