Principles and Recommendations
The Recommendation of the Council on Consumer Protection in E-commerce aims to address a number of consumer challenges such as privacy and data protection, misleading or unfair commercial practices, confirmation and payment, fraud and identity theft and dispute resolution. It outlines the principles to be implemented in their policy frameworks for the protection of consumers in e-commerce by Members and non-Members adhering to this Recommendation.
