The TRIPS Agreement (Annex 1C) is part of the Marrakesh Agreement Establishing the World Trade Organisation. It sets out a number of standards for the regulation of intellectual property by the national governments. Amongst other things, TRIPS requires WTO member states to provide copyright rights and also identifies enforcement procedures, remedies and dispute resolution procedures with regards to intellectual property rights.
