Geneva Cyber Week 2025 is an inaugural event that will occur from 12 to 16 May 2025 in Geneva, Switzerland. Co-organised by the UN Institute for Disarmament Research (UNIDIR) and the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA), the week-long program aims to foster international dialogue on cybersecurity, digital governance, and cyber diplomacy.

Geneva Cyber Week will serve as a platform for multilateral dialogue, collaboration, and practical action, leveraging Geneva’s position as a hub for international cooperation in digital governance and cybersecurity.

The event brings together policymakers, industry leaders, researchers, and civil society representatives to address emerging digital challenges and opportunities. Key events during the week include:

  • Cyber Stability Conference 2025: A UNIDIR flagship event scheduled for 12 May, focusing on evolving cyber threats and strategies to strengthen international peace and security.
  • Global Conference on Cyber Capacity Building (GC3B): Organised by the Global Forum on Cyber Expertise and hosted by the FDFA, this conference will convene high-level experts on 13–14 May to discuss strengthening cyber resilience through digital development cooperation.
  • Other key partner events on topics such as AI-driven cyber risks, cyber diplomacy capacity building, security of critical infrastructure, and cyber inequality.

During Geneva Cyber Week, the Mont Blanc Bridge will feature Cyber Week flags, symbolising the city’s commitment to digital cooperation and cybersecurity. On Friday, 16 May, the iconic Jet d’Eau will be specially illuminated to mark the close of the event, celebrating the week’s achievements and the collective pursuit of a secure digital future. These public displays offer participants a chance to connect, reflect, and engage with Geneva’s role in global cyber diplomacy.
