Microsoft renews partnership with Allscripts to reform EHR solutions
Microsoft has announced that it will extend the partnership with Allscripts to further support Allscripts’ cloud-based electronic health-record platform Sunrise. The five-year extension will enable Allscripts to utilise Microsoft’s platform and tools to create a more seamless and productive user experience. Sunrise is an integrated electronic health record (EHR) platform that connects all aspects of healthcare, including acute, ambulatory, surgical, pharmacy, radiology, and laboratory services. The cloud-based Sunrise will not only improve security, scalability, and flexibility, but also include expanded analytics and insights functionality that can incorporate the Internet of things (IoT).
