US waives restrictions on telehealth for Medicare coverage
The US President Donald Trump signed a US$8.3 billion emergency funding to combat the coronavirus outbreak in the country. The legislature includes a provision to waive telehealth restrictions for Medicare recipients according to the American Telemedicine Association. The organisation noted that telehealth can expand access to healthcare in a timely manner and limit the risk of person-to-person infection of coronavirus.
