The European Dialogue on Internet Governance (EuroDIG) 2025 concluded on May 14 in Strasbourg, France, after three days of dynamic discussions on the future of digital governance. Hosted by the Council of Europe in cooperation with the Luxembourg Presidency of the Committee of Ministers, the event brought together stakeholders from across Europe to engage in multistakeholder dialogue on pressing internet governance issues.

This year’s EuroDIG was held under the theme ‘Safeguarding human rights by balancing regulation and innovation’. The main topic sessions tackled the WSIS+20 review, neurotechnology and privacy, the European Digital and Cyber Strategy 2030, the transatlantic rift on freedom of expression, and child protection online. The conference also included 11 workshops and 8 flash sessions, where AI, digital sovereignty, quantum computing, digital inclusion, and the way forward in multistakeholder and multilateral digital processes were discussed.

For the ninth year running, the GIP Digital Watch observatory was actively engaged in the event, providing just-in-time reporting through DiploAI, which delivered real-time messages, transcripts, and reports.
