Immersion Corporation, a company that develops haptic technology, has filed patent infringement lawsuits against Xiaomi-Group companies in Germany, France, and India. The lawsuits claim that Xiaomi’s smartphones, including the Xiaomi 12, infringe on Immersion’s patents related to haptic effects used in connection with smartphones. Immersion seeks injunctions to prevent Xiaomi from selling these smartphones in the three countries, and costs and damages as compensation for the infringement.
