United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods

The Convention codifies international sales law. It applies to sale of goods and it aims to reduce barriers in international trade and promote the use and development of international trade. The Convention is meant to contribute to increasing certainty in commercial exchanges, decreasing transaction costs and facilitates the ease of trading across borders.
