Tunisia’s National Digital Strategy 2021-2025 is a comprehensive plan aimed at integrating digitalization into the country’s economic and social development. The strategy aims at putting digitalization at the heart of the economic and social development of the country, through the following axis:
- Review of the legal framework and digital governance,
- Social inclusion (digital and financial) in order to reduce the social divide and guarantee citizen equity, preserve access to digital tools (smart terminals, computers, etc.), providing high-speed broadband to all regions and improving penetration and improving and diversifying electronic payment services,
- Development of network infrastructure and hosting capacity to develop the country’s ultra-fast broadband infrastructure and improve connectivity of public structures,
- Digital transformation of the public administration in order to ensure a modernisation and simplification of the services of the administration by opting for a paperless administration with less delays, encouraging electronic citizen participation and putting digital technology at the service of sectoral transformation,
- Cyber Security and combatting Cyber Crime to Protect National Cyber Space, Ensure Better Cyber Governance and Strengthen Digital Sovereignty,
- Leveraging data, technology intelligence and strategic innovation by developing decision support solutions, strengthening anticipation and technology advance mechanisms and accelerating integration of emerging and disruptive technologies,
- Capacity building and development of digital literacy to ensure the preparation and reskilling to digital professions, as well as the resolution of the problem of qualitative and quantitative mismatch between supply and demand
- Develop the digital entrepreneurial ecosystem to make Tunisia an attractive destination for innovation and entrepreneurship and improve Tunisia’s rankings in the various digital sectors.
