The Tshwane Declaration was adopted by the participants of the African Information Ethics Conference: Ethical Challenges in the Information Age in 2007. The declaration aims to enhance the field of Information Ethics in Africa and sets out principles related to the respect for human rights, values of democracy, cultural diversity and social justice.
