Connectivity advancements, from RFID to 5G, and improved sensor and computation technologies, driven by smartphones, have revolutionized IoT, making it pervasive and affordable.
IoT’s impact extends beyond industrial automation to everyday applications, transforming industries and business practices. It can be viewed as a new design language, similar to how electricity transformed building design. Key components of this language include connectivity, computation, recruitment of other devices, and seamless immersion.
