- Promotion of research and development: The strategy emphasises enhancing AI research and development through the creation of a European Centre of Excellence and collaboration with both regional and international partners.
- Funding and investment: It calls for increased financial support for AI initiatives, targeting both public and private sectors, including significant funding opportunities for startups and SMEs.
- AI in Industry and public services: The strategy intends to integrate AI across various sectors such as healthcare, transport, and public administration to improve efficiency and innovation.
- Human capital development: A major focus is placed on education and training to prepare the workforce for the AI-driven economy, including re-skilling and up-skilling initiatives.
- Legal and ethical framework: Establishing a robust legal and ethical framework to govern AI development and implementation, ensuring it aligns with European standards and respects individual rights and privacy.
- International cooperation: The strategy underlines the importance of international engagement and cooperation to bolster the Czech Republic’s position in global AI developments.
Coordination and oversight:
A dedicated AI Committee, under the Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Industry and Trade, will oversee the strategy’s implementation. This committee includes representatives from various ministries, academia, and industry, ensuring a collaborative approach.
