Nairobi Treaty on the Protection of the Olympic Symbol

According to the Nairobi Treaty on the Protection of the Olympic Symbol, adopted on 26 September 1981, states parties to the Treaty are obliged to invalidate the use of a mark and to prohibit the use of a mark for commercial purposes of any sign containing the Olympic symbol, if not previously authorised by the International Olympic Committee.
