Nairobi Declaration on the Environmentally Sound Management of Electrical and Electronic Waste

The Nairobi Declaration was adopted during the eighth meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Basel Convention in December 2006, with the aim to advance the efforts to reduce transboundary movements of hazardous and other wastes and protect human health and the environment. It focuses primarily on the growing problem of e-waste to raise awareness of this global risk.
