Marrakesh Treaty to Facilitate Access to Published Works for Persons Who Are Blind, Visually Impaired, or Otherwise Print Disabled
June 2013
Conventions and Treaties
This Treaty is designed to make the production and transfer of books adapted to persons affected by visual disabilities easier. These disabilities are ones that interfere with effective reading of printed material such as blindness or print disabilities. The Treaty allows for copyright limitations and exceptions meant to permit reproduction, import and export of published works in formats designed to be accessible to visually impaired people.
