The Danish National Strategy for Artificial Intelligence aims to position Denmark as a leader in responsible AI development and use, benefiting individuals, businesses, and society. The strategy focuses on four key areas: establishing a common ethical and human-centred basis for AI, promoting research and development by Danish researchers, fostering growth in Danish businesses through AI, and ensuring the public sector offers world-class services using AI.

The government has allocated significant funding, with initiatives covering both the public and private sectors, to support responsible AI development, enhance research efforts, and strengthen competencies and knowledge in AI.

Denmark is actively investing in research infrastructure and initiatives to influence AI development according to Danish values and ensure access to cutting-edge technology for researchers and businesses.

The strategy outlines 24 specific initiatives, with a focus on ethics, data utilisation, competencies, and research, setting a direction for Denmark to harness the full potential of AI over the coming years
