Paula Szewach

Ms Paula Szewach is a computational social scientist with experience combining academic and applied research, scientific dissemination and human rights advocacy. Paula holds a PhD awarded by Department of Government and the Institute for Analytics and Data Science at University of Essex. She is currently an Urban Data Science Researcher at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center. Her main topics of interest lie in the intersection between technology and democracy. Paula joined the Geneva Internet Platform’s Digital Watch Observatory in 2019 as a Digital Watch Knowledge Fellow, where she provides reporting, updates and analysis on various topics related to digital information disorders, including content policy, online media trust, and digital identities.
