Stockholm City Conference Center, Barnhusgatan 12-14, 111 23
Stockholm, Sweden

The Stockholm Internet Forum 2019 (SIF19) will be held on 16-17 May 2017 in Stockholm, Sweden. The event is being organised by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA).

This forum is a platform for advancing a free, open, and secure Internet as a driver of development. It offers an arena for the exchange of ideas, knowledge, and networking.

Under the theme 'The Shrinking Democratic Space Online', SIF19 will explore various dimensions of the shrinking democratic space, and in particular, review the most recent threats against democracy online and the responses needed to mobilise openness. More than 500 participants and renowned key-note speakers will gather over the two-day period to discuss the consequences of shrinking democratic space on civil, political, social, cultural, economic and developmental fronts.

You may nominate someone or self-nominate to participate in SIF19. The organisers will review all nominations and revert to successful participants directly. The forum is free-of-charge, but seats are limited therefore early nomination is advised.
