RightsCon 2021 will take place online between 7 and 11 June.
Due to the global pandemic, the 9th edition of RightsCon will be hosted online, whereas usually, it visits new host cities each year that are power centers for technology and human rights. Over the last decade, RightsCon has been a home for a growing digital rights movement, gathering thousands of business leaders, human rights defenders, advocates, creatives, policymakers, technologists, and journalists from around the world.
In May the final programme will be published, but categories of topics include AI, automation, data protection and user control, digital futures, democracy, elections, new business models, content control, peacebuilding, censorship, internet shutdowns, freedom of the media and many others.
