The European Cyber Security Month Kick-Off Event 2017 will be held on 29 September 2017, in Tallin, Estonia. The event is co-organised by the European Network and Information Security Agency (ENISA), the Estonian Information Systems Authority, and the Tallinn University of Technology.

The European Cyber Security Month (ECSM) is an annual awareness campaign organised every year in October, across the EU. The campaign, which includes various activities in EU member states, is aimed at promoting cybersecurity awareness among citizens and organisations, and equiping them with the capacity to protect themselves online.

The kick-off event will be opened by officials from the European public sector and industry, followed by insights from national co-ordination teams into their campaigns. Specific topics to be addressed will include cybersecurity in the workplace, governance, privacy and data protection, cybersecurity in the home, and skills in cybersecurity.
