Mr George Dimitrov (Member of the Board of Directors of Evrotrust Technologies JSCo.) explained that challenging aspects of digital transformation are the legal and technical aspects. There isn’t enough legal security and clear regulation in the digital world, which is why digital transformation requires regulation of e-identification, e-signatures, e-seals, e-timestamps, e-website authentication, e-registered delivery, e-validation, and e-preservation. Technological aspects of digital transformation are not user-friendly, which is a barrier for using qualified trust services.

Dimitrov then explained what EvroTrust is an electronic identification, authentication and trust services (eIDAS) qualified trust service provider (QTSP). Dimitrov explained that Evrotrust has a qualified status and is registered for issuing qualified e-signatures, e-seals, qualified time-seals, qualified validation, qualified certificates for website authentication, qualified registered delivery services, and qualified preservation. He spoke about Evrotrust’s mobile app that offers these services. He then presented the Evrotrust’s pan-Europenan electronic identification scheme (eIDs) for Western Balkan economies, which is a bridge between the EU and Western Balkan economies. It identifies natural persons from WB6 and 180 other jurisdictions, as well as legal entities from WB6 and 80 other jurisdictions. The scheme is integrated with national registers and is compliant with the eIDAs regulation, anti-money laundering (AML), consumer protection, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Payment Services Directive 2 (PSD2), Know Your Customer (KYC), and other industry standards certifications (ISO 9001, ISO 27001, ISO 22301 and ISO 20000-1).
