World Economic Forum on the Middle East and North Africa

6 Apr 2019 - 7 Apr 2019

Dead Sea, Jordan

The 'World Economic Forum on the Middle East and North Africa' will be held in 6-7 April 2019, at the Dead Sea in Jordan.

Organised by the World Economic Forum (WEF), in partnership with King Abdullah II Fund for Development (KAFD), the meeting will convene over 1 000 government, business, and civil society leaders from more than 50 countries. The event is intended to provide a collaborative platform for shaping the future of the Middle East and Noth Africa through public-private co-operation. It will also aim to address the continued geopolitical shifts and humanitarian challenges in Syria, Iraq, Libya, and the ongoing refugee crisis; and how they can be addressed by supporting multistakeholder dialogue.

Top decision makers from Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, the Levant and North Africa, as well as key international stakeholders from the United States, Europe, East Africa, and other regions, will also explore the impact of the fourth industrial revolution – a new era in the global economy promising huge opportunities, resulting from the convergence of digital information and technological advancements in various economic fields.
