Trade and Environment Week 2026

1 Jun 2026 - 5 Jun 2026

Geneva, Switzerland

Trade and Environment Week 2026 is a week-long series of meetings and thematic sessions held from 1–5 June 2026 at the WTO Headquarters in Geneva and online. The programme brings together WTO members and invited stakeholders to discuss the intersection of international trade and environmental policy.

The 2026 edition includes sessions on topics such as eco-design and digital product passports, carbon accounting and emissions standards, trade in environmental goods and services, biodiversity, climate-related border measures, fossil fuel subsidy reform, and the role of trade in supporting global climate action.

Discussions are organised by WTO members and partners and are intended to facilitate information exchange, explore policy approaches, and support ongoing work under the Committee on Trade and Environment and related WTO initiatives. The event forms part of the WTO’s broader work on trade and environmental sustainability and contributes to member-led dialogue on regulatory approaches and cooperation.

The programme is non-binding and designed as an informal platform for dialogue; it does not imply consensus among WTO members or represent negotiated outcomes.
