The NETmundial+10

29 Apr 2024 - 30 Apr 2024

São Paulo, Brazil

The NETmundial+10 meeting is scheduled for 29 - 30 April 2024 in São Paulo, Brazil. The meeting will address global challenges for the governance of the digital world, focusing on the future of the internet and its impact on economic, cultural, informational, and political relations.

The objectives include reviewing and renewing international commitments to the NETmundial and debating the role of multistakeholderism, collaboration with multilateral decision arenas, the democratization of the digital economy, overcoming digital divides, and the construction of an 'information society' centred on people and development. The event aims to reinforce important principles and update the debate over the digital agenda, particularly in the context of Brazil's role as an important Global South leader and its upcoming G20 presidency. The meeting is expected to bring together a global, multistakeholder network of partners to discuss and shape the future of internet governance.

The event will allow the multistakeholder community to convene and deliver concrete outputs, including a new roadmap to feed into ongoing discussions across the digital governance landscape, such as the Summit of the Future and its Global Digital Compact and the WSIS+20 review process.
