The Artificial Intelligence Infrastructure Interchange (AIII) : Launch Event

An event organised by the World Intellectual Property Organization will mark the launch of the AI Infrastructure Interchange (AIII), a new initiative aimed at facilitating dialogue on the technical and operational aspects of the intellectual property (IP) system in the context of AI. The event will take place on 17 March 2026 in Geneva, with options for both in-person and online participation.

Discussions will explore topics such as content identification, metadata and digital identifiers, rights management tools, and other technical mechanisms that support the creation, distribution, and protection of digital content.

The programme includes keynote remarks, panel discussions, and presentations addressing the role of technical collaboration between creators, rightsholders, and technology companies. Participants will also discuss the objectives of the AIII initiative and the establishment of a Technical Exchange Network intended to support ongoing expert dialogue on practical challenges and opportunities at the intersection of AI and intellectual property.
