Swiss Internet Governance Forum 2015

New: GIP’s Tereza Horejsova and David Rüfenacht will be present at the IGF in Bern.

The Swiss Internet Governance Forum 2015 will take place in Bern, Switzerland, on 19 May. The Swiss IGF aims to enable Swiss players actively discuss current issues related to Internet governance.

The event will also serve to establish in Switzerland a national IGF exchange platform for all interested parties to share their ideas and exchange opinions with other stakeholders from political, economic, civil society and science sectors. Similarly to EuroDIG – the European IGF – the dialogue will not be led primarily by a group of experts but, where possible, by all the participants on an equal level.

Open call: propose themes for Swiss IGF 2015

The Swiss IGF is open to all interested persons. It is supported by an open group of representatives from government, economy, civil society, academia and the technical community. All interested persons are invited to participate actively in the Swiss IGF process. The themes of the Swiss IGF 2015 will not be determined by the organisers, but on the basis of an open consultation among stakeholders.

Submit your proposal about themes that should be discussed during the Swiss IGF. Proposed themes can be submitted to the coordinator, Wolf Ludwig, at wolf.ludwig@comunica-ch.net, until 25 February.

More information about the Swiss IGF will be available on the event webpage closer to the date.
