Organised by the World Economic Forum (WEF) every year, the Sustainable Development Impact Summit 2021 (SDIS21) takes place during the UN General Assembly (UN GA). This year’s edition of this summit will be held under the theme ‘Shaping an equitable, inclusive and sustainable recovery’ and will be dedicated to best approaches and methods towards a sustainable, equitable and inclusive recovery from the pandemic.

Held over four days, the meeting will address one thematic area per day, through impact-oriented working sessions, high-level roundtables, dialogues and briefings. Day 1 will be dedicated to revitalising economies by leveraging the new tools, policies, and technologies and advancing global cooperation. Day 2 will be dedicated to advancing an inclusive recovery that scales innovative policies and initiatives and embeds equity and justice across systems. Day 3 will scale up climate action by moving from commitments to the actions towards net zero emissions. Day 4 will focus on shaping future inclusive, equitable, sustainable and healthy food systems.
