Should we Trust Digital Immunity Passports?

28 Apr 2021

Online

The Center for Digital Trust (C4DT) will be hosting an online discussion ‘Should we Trust Digital Immunity Passports?’ on 28 April 2021.

The event will address the much-debated issues on the use of digital immunity passports as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Such digital tools to certify immunity could help spur economic recovery but raise ethics and privacy concerns. A panel of prominent specialists will discuss from the ethics, business, political/governance, and scientific perspectives questions such as the following:

  • How to build trust in such a solution?
  • What elements make the digital health passports interoperable among countries?
  • How are people’s data related to their immunity status governed?

Housed at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne, C4DT brings together 13 partners, 34 laboratories, civil society, and policy actors to collaborate, share insight, and to gain early access to trust-building technologies, building on state-of-the-art research at EPFL and beyond.
