Russian Internet Governance Forum 2018

The 9th meeting of the Russian Internet Governance Forum (RIGF 2018) will take place on 6 April 2018 in Saint Petersburg, Russia. The forum will be hosted by the Coordination centre for the top-level domain .RU/.РФ.

The forum aims to foster discussions and collaboration among government agencies, telecommunications industry players, businesses, and society in Russia and beyond. 

RIGF 2018 will feature sessions on, inter alia, digital economy development, fake news, big data, computer emergency response teams (CERTs), and artificial intelligence (AI) applications. Experts from around the world will join the local Internet community to discuss these issues and look at who should be playing a more active role in global Internet governance, and what can be done to engage new stakeholders.​ The forum will also include an award ceremony for this year’s Internet Protocol and Information Technology (IP&IT) law contest winners, and special lectures to university students on 5 April.
