Pacific Internet Governance Forum 2017

The 2017 annual meeting of the Pacific Internet Governance Forum (PIGF) will take place on 18-19 May 2017, at the National Convention Centre in Port Vila, Vanuatu. The meeting will be co-hosted by the Vanuatu’s Telecommunications and Radiocommunications Regulator and the Office of Governments CIO.

Under the overarching theme ‘Working for an inclusive, secure, and safe Internet’, the meeting will tackle topics such as big data, the Internet of Things, online privacy, and cybercrime.

The aim of PIGF is to serve as a platform for discusion, exchange, and collaboration on Internet governance issues in the Pacific region. The initiative is intended to contribute to improving the regulatory and technical capabilities of countries in the region, and to encourage them to participate in global Internet governance processes.
