‘News Empire and the Making of Global Information Industries’ seminar

The Jefferson Scholars Foundation is organising the 2021 spring conference under the theme 'Media, Telecommunications, and Empire: Analytics of Power-- old and new-- in an Interdisciplinary Field', sponsored by the Forum for Interdisciplinary Dialogue, the Columbia Center for Comparative Media, and Vanderbilt University's Comparative Media Analysis and Practice program. Each panel will discussion will be based on pre-circulated papers. The first seminar in the series will take place online on 16 February (12h UTC-5) and address the issue of 'News Empire and the Making of Global Information Industries'.
