MENOG 15

28 Mar 2015 - 1 Apr 2015

The 2015 meeting of MENOG, the forum for network operators in the Middle East, takes place from 1-2 April 2015 in Dubai. MENOG meetings offer network engineers and other technical staff the opportunity to share their experiences and knowledge, and identify areas for regional cooperation.

MENOG 15 is also organising two workshops on DNS Operations/DNSSEC and Advanced Routing on 28-31 March. Attendance at the four-day workshops is free of charge. The workshop includes lunch and coffee breaks for the scheduled four days. Each day runs from 9:30-18:00, with lunch served between 13:00-14:00.

The DNS Operations/DNSSEC workshop aims to enable participants to understand the basics of DNS and DNS security, and to learn how to configure a DNSSEC-enabled resolver for networks, configure basic DNSSEC for domains, and configure reverse DNSSEC records for networks, to get familiar with DNSSEC-related tools and procedures, and to learn how to troubleshoot basic DNSSEC problems. The Advanced Routing workshop is a mix of lectures and hands-on lab work to teach the skills required for the configuration and operation of large-scale networks that make up the Internet.

The workshops will take place at the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA), Al Waheeda street – Al Memzar, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
