The meeting of the high-level political forum on sustainable development in 2020

The meeting of the high-level political forum on sustainable development in 2020 convened under the auspices of the Economic and Social Council, will be held on 7 - 16 July 2020, including the three-day ministerial meeting of the forum on 14 - 16 July.

The theme will be 'Accelerated action and transformative pathways: Realising the decade of action and delivery for sustainable development.' The forum will discuss how the international community can respond to the COVID-19 pandemic and accelerate progress towards achieving the SDGs. Specific topics to be tackled include relaunching economic growth, addressing financing challenges, protecting human wellbeing, and harnessing the potential of technology and innovation in advancing sustainable development. The forum will also feature 47 national reviews in which countries present their progress in implementing the 2030 Agenda.
